Best Places for Dinner in Greensboro, NC

The city of Greensboro is full of fun and excitement. Home to the Greensboro Science Center, the Greensboro Children’s Museum, Weatherspoon Art Museum, and the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, you can guarantee that there is always something going on in the area. Since all that fun is sure to work up an appetite, you’ll want to find somewhere yummy to eat nearby. With over 500 restaurants in the Greensboro area, you will have no problem finding the perfect place to grab a bite.

Here are a few of our favorite places to eat dinner that are also close to the Hawthorne at Horse Pen Creek community:

Casa Vallarta’s Mexican & Seafood Grill
If you are in the mood for some traditional Mexican dishes, this is the spot to be. You can start off your dinner by munching on some chips and salsa. Items on the menu include tacos, chimichangas, fajitas, and quesadillas. And don’t forget to top it all off with a fresh margarita!

Reel Seafood Grill
This casual restaurant offers a wide selection of fresh seafood dishes. Just a few favorites from the menu include shrimp, clams, oysters, flounder sesame, fresh NC grouper, and mustard catfish. Everything is cooked from scratch, and there are new daily entrees and specials based on the season and market availability.

Big Burger Spot
If you are craving a juicy burger, the Big Burger Spot has you covered. You can create your very own burger, or you can select from one of the 14+ varieties that are on the menu. Steve Harvey visited the restaurant in February of 2015, so there is even a “Steve Harvey Burger” on the menu. But they have more than just burgers. Other items on the menu include fresh salads, premium hot dogs, gourmet sandwiches, and specialty French fries.

Phoenix Asian Cuisine
This restaurant offers some of the best authentic Asian dishes in the Greensboro area. With menu items like crispy spring rolls, traditional wonton soup, vegetable fried rice, Vietnamese noodles, Thai red curry chicken, and kung pao shrimp, your taste buds are sure to love this spot. They also have an extensive sushi list.
